黄金夢想曲/Ougon Musou Kyoku Mini TL Project
Introduction
In several threads ago, I’ve mentioned my fascination over the Umineko no Naku Koro Ni (Umineko) spinoff called Ougon Musou Kyoku (OMK) for PC. This spinoff is different from the original gameplay, instead of ‘Sound Novel’ OMK is a 2D tag-team side-scroll fighting game featuring the characters from the original game itself.
Recently this game will be ported to Xbox360 (Japan) with the title of 黄金夢想曲X on October 2011. And also the 2nd installment of OMK is currently on its way featuring new characters from the other half-end of the story such as Erika and Dlanor.
First of all I would like to thank the Witch Hunt Translation group for translating the former ‘Sound Novel’, for myself has refrain to read the 7th episode and waited for the release of the 8th episode. But without their help, I wont be able to enjoy myself and read this great series from 07th Expansion and Ryukishi07.
As for my small project, I figured there might not be much of a script that is involved in this OMK, so I decided to try and translate the storyline within this game. The storyline is accessed through the Arcade mode in this game with a certain character combination. There are over 18 combination of characters that will trigger a storyline and I would like to try and work on all of that.
My methods are a bit… raw and rough due to my inability to use a text hooker with this game. Therefore doing it the hard way, I have recorded my gameplay via the livestream service and replayed the video over and over again to find out the script, regardless I have successfully ‘noted’ the first combination characters script. Should there be a better suggestions I am all open.

Ok with that all said and done, I’ll begin the translations, script are also copied there and I apologize if there are any mistranslations as I have best tried to work on this on my own.

*Note: Please note that some part of script i wrote in regular English, that is due to a Katakana reading and I tend to just read it off like that.
*Note: I’ve taken the liberty to shorten the character names ‘Beatrice to Beato’, and ‘Eva Beatrice to Evatrice’
*Note: Side event took place randomly and I’ve only played 2x which gave me 2 different side events. I have translated these and I do reckon there are more. However these are side events and it does hit the spot although it has no relations with the game story, usually just personal remarks and comments of the characters about their partners.

Battler: どういうことだ 黄金の魔女はお前じゃないか。どうしてGAME盤が乗っ取られる？
What are you saying, aren’t you the Golden Witch. How can the Game board being taken away?
Beato：あやつめが、よもや碑文を解くとおもわかっただ。黄金の謎を解いた新しき魔女は、今やこのGAMEの新しき支配者だ.
That person has solved the epitaph puzzle, the new witch who solved the mystery of the gold, she is now the new master of this Game.
Battler: 取り戻すぞ。これは俺たちのGAMEだ。部外者はいらね！
Lets take it back. This is our Game, we don’t need any outsiders!
Beato：そうとも。これは妾はそなたの血塗られし物語。 それを描く鮮血のINKは、妾とそなたで、充分、足りておるわ！
I agree, this is the story that shall be only written with the ink blood of our struggle.

Lucifer： Beatrice sama、お許しお、そしてお覚悟を。。。！
Beatrice-sama, prepare yourself and please forgive me…!
Beato：良いわ、それでこそ妾の自慢の家具！安心せよ、すぐに再び妾を主と呼ばせてやろうぞ！

Siesta410: うきゅー、降参にえ さっさと大将戦てそれを決着してほしいにえ
Unyaa, I give up. this battle should be settled as soon as possible
Battler: 一体、BeatoからGAME盤を奪ったのは誰なんだ。新しい魔女とは一体？
Who was it, Who took the Game Board away from Beato? Who is the new Witch?
Lucifer: 。。。あなたも良く知ってる人物よ。彼女が碑文の謎を解き、新たな黄金の魔女に襲名したのよ
It’s someone you know pretty well, she solved the Epitaph puzzle, and that is how the new witch is succeeded.
Battler: 俺のよく知ってる人物。。。？ まさか、親類の誰かだったのか。。。？！
Someone I know? Dont tell me… is it someone from the Family!?
Side Event
Beato：完膚なきまでに容赦なしか。血も涙もない男よ！
Whoa what a completely no mercy and cold blooded guy!
Battler: は、お前にだけは、言われたくねえぜ！
Hah! I don’t want to hear that from you!
Event – ｖｓ。Eva Beatrice/Ronove （before fight)
Why don’t you just give up and die!?
Battler: そんな。。。EVAおばさんが 新しい黄金の魔女だったってのか
how can this be… the new Golden Witch is Eva oba-san?
Ronove: 左様でごじます。碑文を解く者に全てを経承する。そういう決まりでございますので。。。
That is correct, such is the title and power is given to whom who has solved the Epitaph puzzle and that is all according the rules…
Evatrice：私は碑文の試練に打ち勝ち、すべてを手に入れたわ！それに何の不服が？！
I’ve solved the Epitaph’s trial and gained all its benefits! Whats to complain!?
Battler：黄金はくれてやるさ。それが決まりだってんあら、文句はね
I have no objections within the rules, you can keep the gold. as for the complain
Beato: だがGAME盤は譲らぬ 妾とBattlerの戦いには、一切の邪魔お許さめ！そなたはやり過ぎた。返してもらうぞ、妾たちの戦いを！
Return it our Battle! Taking away the Game board and always interfering my battle with Battler is too much.
Evatrice： それはあなたが魔女だったときの話よ？

Ronove：お見事です、Beatrice-sama. 再びあなたに仕え出来て、光栄です
Well done, Beatrice-sama. It is my honor to serve you again.
Beato: うむ、Game盤のすべてを元に戻すぞ。至急に新しきGameを整えるのだ
Hmm… Return all the Game board pieces into it’s place. Prepare for a new another game immediately.
Ronove: 存じております。。。。直ちに、Battlerさまとの決闘の舞台を、再び
Understood, I shall prepare another stage for your battle with Battler-sama.
Battler: これで、おれたちの共同戦線は終わりだな
I suppose this is the end of our alliance.
Beato: うむ。余興にしては、なかなかに悪くない経験であったぞ
Yes. I suppose this is not a bad experience for an entertainment.
Final Event
Battler： よやくここえ戻ってきたな
We’ve returned here at last
Beato: そなたとこうして対峙するのが、感慨深いと同時に、なぜか惜しい気もする。なぜに妾たちは、戦わねばならぬか、とな

I dont want to hear any dumb comment.

Beato: そうであったな つまらめことを聞いた。 魔女の気まぐれを許せ
Is that so, You’ve heard a boring words on a Witch’s whim.

Battler: いくぜ。おまえの魔法の全てを、俺はTRICKで説明する
Here I come. I’ll explain all your Magic with Trick!
Beato: くくく、良かろう！わが魔法密室殺人、説明できるもなら説明してみよ！さ来い、USHIROMIYA BATTLER!
